North Korea Launches New Satellite

According to the North American Aerospace Command (NORAD), North Korea's newest satellite passed almost right over Levi's stadium, California, right after the Super Bowl match between the Panthers & Broncos, on Monday @ 8.26pm.

NORAD says that Pyongyang’s motives are unknown but it now has 2 Kwangmyongsong (Shining Star) satellites circling the Earth which have a 94-minute orbit.

North Korea claims their successful satellite launch on Sunday was its fourth. The first 2 launches haven’t been confirmed by anyone else. The satellites are described as Earth observation satellites and weigh 100kg each.

Coincidentally, both Twitter and Facebook reported that there was a significant reduction (33% for Twitter & 25% for Facebook) in the amount of posts about the Super Bowl compared to last year. Most however, doubt that North Korea had anything to do with it.
